Not at all. The LLAMA Truck Atlas is equipped with an industrial-grade hydraulic dump bed, so you do not need to manually shovel or unload heavy, dense cargo such as soil, gravel, or construction materials. With the push of a button inside the cabin, the heavy-duty hydraulic system automatically lifts and unloads your materials in seconds, reducing manual labor.
What type of battery powers the Atlas, and how does it compare to lead-acid options?
The Atlas is powered by a premium, high-performance Lithium-Ion battery system. Compared with traditional lead-acid batteries, lithium-ion technology requires virtually no routine maintenance, is significantly lighter, and charges much faster. Lead-acid batteries remain a basic, cost-effective option for lighter tasks, while the Atlas lithium battery provides consistent power and a longer lifespan for demanding use.
How do I properly maintain the lithium-ion battery in my Atlas truck?
The lithium-ion battery requires no fluid top-offs. To maximize battery life and performance, avoid completely draining the battery and recharge it when the charge level drops to around 20%. For winter or extended storage, keep the battery at approximately 80% charge in a cool, dry place rather than leaving it at 100% or allowing it to reach 0%. Always use the provided factory smart charger for proper voltage regulation and safe charging cycles.
What is the warranty policy for the vehicle and the battery?
The LLAMA Truck Atlas includes a limited lifetime warranty on the vehicle chassis (2 years on other factory-installed parts) and a 30-Day Return Policy. The Lithium-Ion battery is covered by a 9-year full replacement warranty. For comparison, factory-installed lead-acid batteries on LLAMA models are covered by a 5-year full replacement warranty (personal-use vehicles). During the applicable warranty period, if the battery's measured usable capacity falls below 70% of its original rated capacity due to natural degradation, it may be eligible for warranty service, subject to the standard warranty terms and conditions.
How much does shipping cost, and how will my truck arrive?
We offer free shipping on the LLAMA Truck Atlas to the contiguous 48 U.S. states. Your truck will be delivered directly to your property through a dedicated delivery service, fully assembled, thoroughly inspected, and ready to work upon arrival. For Hawaii, we ship by ocean freight to the Port of Honolulu for a flat shipping fee of $1,500, and the customer picks up the vehicle at the port. We do not ship to Alaska, Puerto Rico, PO Boxes, or APO/FPO addresses.
Can I schedule a test drive for the LLAMA Truck Atlas?
Yes. Test drive appointments are available based on our demonstration fleet. Availability depends on your region, driving distance, and the specific models currently available in your area. Please contact our customer service team to schedule an appointment and find an available test vehicle.
