FAQ
What type of battery powers the LLAMA Truck Crest, and how does it compare to lithium options?
The Crest is equipped with a robust, heavy-duty Lead-Acid battery system. While lithium-ion batteries are lighter, require virtually no routine maintenance, and offer a longer lifespan (backed by a 9-year full replacement warranty), lead-acid batteries remain a reliable, cost-effective, and proven power solution for daily utility work. They provide consistent torque for hauling and property maintenance at a lower upfront cost, making the Crest a practical value when the battery receives proper routine care.
How do I properly maintain the lead-acid battery in my Crest truck?
To maximize the lifespan and performance of your lead-acid battery, follow these basic maintenance steps: Keep it charged by plugging the truck in after significant use, and avoid deep discharges or allowing the battery to reach 0%. Periodically check the water levels and top them off using only distilled water, enough to cover the internal plates without overfilling. Keep the battery terminals free of white corrosion to maintain a safe, strong electrical connection. For extended storage, keep the battery fully charged in a cool, dry place and recharge it at least once a month.
What is the warranty policy for the vehicle and the battery?
The LLAMA Truck Crest comes with a limited lifetime warranty on the vehicle chassis (2 years on other factory-installed parts) and a 30-Day Return Policy. The factory-installed lead-acid battery is covered by a 5-year full replacement warranty (personal-use vehicles). During the applicable warranty period, if the battery's measured usable capacity falls below 70% of its original rated capacity due to natural degradation, it may be eligible for warranty service, subject to the terms and conditions of the limited warranty.
How much does shipping cost, and how will my truck arrive?
We offer free shipping on the LLAMA Truck Crest to the contiguous 48 U.S. states. Your vehicle will be delivered directly to your property through a dedicated delivery service, fully assembled, thoroughly inspected, and ready to ride upon arrival. For Hawaii, we ship by ocean freight to the Port of Honolulu for a flat shipping fee of $1,500, and the customer picks up the vehicle at the port. We do not ship to Alaska, Puerto Rico, PO Boxes, or APO/FPO addresses.
Can I schedule a test drive for the LLAMA Truck Crest?
Yes. We offer test drive appointments based on our available demonstration fleet. Availability depends on your region, driving distance, and the specific models currently stationed in your local area. Please contact our customer service team to check availability and book an appointment for a nearby test vehicle.
Is the LLAMA Truck Crest street legal?
Our LLAMA Trucks are designed to meet the applicable standards for LSV (Low-Speed Vehicle) registration and on-road use. Many customers have successfully registered their vehicles independently through their local DMV or other relevant authorities. Registration requirements vary by state and local jurisdiction. If you would like to register your LLAMA Truck for road use, we can provide the necessary vehicle documentation and supporting paperwork, including the official MCO (Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin) and a standardized VIN (Vehicle Identification Number), to assist with the registration process.
