FAQ
Are LLAMA Trucks legal to drive on public roads?
LLAMA Trucks are designed for unrestricted use on private property, farms, and job sites. For public road use, owners may register the vehicle with their local authorities, and once registered according to local regulations, the truck can be legally operated on public roads. Requirements vary by state, so we recommend checking with your local DMV.
Are LLAMA Trucks shipped fully assembled?
Yes! Every LLAMA Truck is fully assembled and tested for safety and quality. After your order, our team performs final assembly, inspection, and road testing at our facility (usually 2–4 weeks). Once complete, we schedule a freight delivery straight to your address.
To which addresses do you ship?
We provide free shipping to the lower 48 states in the U.S. We do not ship to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Alaska, PO Boxes, or APO/FPO addresses by default. (Note: we also offer Hawaii port pickup options in our separate shipping policy.)

My Apex was delivered two weeks ago. It’s just like pictured and performs as stated. It was delivered with an 79% charge on the battery. (Owners manual says charge only to 80% for long term storage so I guess that’s why) After using the Apex several times this past two weeks, the battery is at 78%. It will be a long time before we have to charge it.
I just figured out my CarPlay yesterday with the help of Katelynn at Llama trucks talking me through my questions over the phone.
We’ve ridden all over our property and filled the dump bed with windfall limbs and rocks from a field and then emptied the wood into a burn pile with the hydraulic dump feature. So cool! The seats are more comfortable than the image suggests. It’s quiet. It’s able to climb hills. We have a section of road on our property with a pretty steep incline and the Apex doesn’t mind at all.
I choose it over other similar UTV’s because the design emphasis seemed geared more toward usefulness. The dump bed is bigger than the competition, the hauling capacity way exceeds as well. It can reach 34 miles, though we haven’t driven that fast. That’s about 10 miles per hour faster than another well known brand of electric UTV on the market.
In researching what to purchase, I was willing to trade luxury bucket seats and climate controlled cab for better hauling and dumping capacity. I actually wanted no doors and easy access like an old fashioned golf cart. And I insisted on electric. It’s so much simpler - no engine to maintain or repair. Just a quiet electric motor and a badass 72 volt lithium battery power pack.
I choose the Apex, even though it was a newer model on the Llama line up and there were not many customer reviews of the Apex on the website yet. I read reviews of other Llama Truck models. I even messaged some of the other customers who posted on Llama ads.
All of this research gave me the confidence to buy from this company. I had faith in the Apex design concept, and with the Llama Truck people that answered my questions.
To be totally honest, the price was also a significant motivation. The Apex is thousands less than other similar UTV’s.
I paid in full and patiently waited for weeks (The website stated expect delivery in 4-6 weeks) But the day finally arrived when the hauler was in touch and they delivered my Apex all the way from California to Arkansas. Now I think delivery will be swifter as more Apex are assembled and in stock at their warehouse. I’m very happy I chose a Llama Truck.
My only regret is that I didn’t have this Apex years ago, considering how much landscaping and property management we have already done, and how much easier it would have been with the Apex.
I went 6 weeks after ordering and didn’t hear from them. Then when it was out for delivery it showed up four days earlier the they told me. If they were a little more communicative, that’d be good. But the Llama is killer!
I am completely spoiled by the backup camera. Navigating around my wife’s garden boxes and fitting into my narrow tool shed used to stress me out. Now, I back it in perfectly on the first try. It’s these little car-like features that make it stand out from typical farm equipment. Very impressed.
Ordered the white model and had our garage emblem added. It draws attention at the car shows when we use it to drag around our tool chests and tires. People constantly ask what kind of engine is in it, and their jaws drop when I tell them it's fully electric. It has that aggressive, wide stance you want.
Hauling delicate potted plants means I can't be bouncing all over the place. The front suspension absorbs those nasty potholes beautifully. My deliveries arrive intact, and I don't feel beaten up at the end of my shift. It’s definitely a premium ride compared to the bone-rattling carts we used to rent.
